Packing and QR labels

What it does

• You choose the instrument type or set (turbine, contra-angle, exam set, surgical set…), how many pouches and the packaging (pouch, container, wrap).
• Each pouch gets a unique code such as ACH-7K3F9Q: the practice prefix and 6 characters without look-alikes (no 0/O, 1/I/L), so it can be read aloud or typed.
• The label carries the QR code, the written code, what is inside, the packing date and who packed it. After sterilization, the cycle date and the expiry date show when you scan it.
• New pouches appear under Packed, waiting for a cycle.

How to use it

1. Packing: choose the instrument type, the number of pouches and the packaging, then Pack.
2. Print labels opens the label sheet, ready for A4 paper or a label printer.
3. Stick each label on its pouch.

Limits

• The label printed at packing cannot carry the cycle number, the sterilization date or the use-by date, which inspections expect on the pouch: they show when you scan it. Until Trasa prints a second label after the cycle, write them on the pouch or use the autoclave's own printer.
• No direct connection to a label printer: labels print from the browser.

History

• 27 September 2026, new: You can pack instruments into pouches with a unique code and print their QR labels. The Pouches list shows what waits for a cycle, what is sterile and what expires soon.
