Scan and use on a patient

You scan the QR on a pouch, see at once whether it is sterile, and record it against the patient you use it on.

What it does

Scan the code with the phone or tablet camera, with a barcode reader (it types the code like a keyboard), or type it.
Trasa shows the status at once: Sterile (safe to use), Expired, Used, Cycle failed or Packed (not sterilized yet). A pouch that is not sterile cannot be recorded against a patient.
Pick the patient by record number or name, or add them on the spot. You can note the procedure or the tooth.
Confirm that the indicator on the pouch changed colour. If it did not, the pouch is taken out of use instead.
The date, time and who used the pouch are recorded automatically.

Scan (the green button in the bottom bar on a phone).
Point the camera at the QR or type the code.
If the pouch is sterile: Use on a patient, pick or add the patient, Record the use.

The camera needs HTTPS and the browser's permission; at a desk, a USB barcode reader is easier.
It needs an internet connection (there is no offline mode).

27 September 2026, new: Scan the QR on a pouch to see at once whether it is sterile, then record it against the patient by record number. An expired or used pouch cannot be recorded.
