Control tests

What it does

• Types: Helix (PCD), Bowie-Dick, Vacuum test, Biological indicator (optional), Chemical indicator, Other test.
• The usual rhythm in a French practice: a Helix or Bowie-Dick test before the first load of the day and a vacuum test every week. Trasa shows on the Today page which autoclave has not had today's test.
• For each: the autoclave, date and time, who did it, the result (Pass or Fail), the test's lot number, the test cycle number and notes.
• A failed test requires the corrective action (autoclave stopped, technician called, test repeated).
• A biological indicator can stay Incubating; when you read it, you record the result from the list of tests.
• Attach a photo of the strip or the document to every test, so the evidence stays with the record.

How to use it

1. Control tests, then Record a test.
2. Choose the autoclave, the type and the result; add the lot number if you have it.
3. Save the test, then Attach a photo.
4. For a biological indicator that is incubating: from the list, Read the result.

Limits

• Trasa does not remind you that the weekly test or the biological indicator is due.

History

• 27 September 2026, new: You can record Bowie-Dick, Helix, vacuum and biological tests with a photo of the strip attached. The Today page shows which autoclave has not had today's test.
